Online shopping can feel overwhelming as you scroll through thousands of brands, millions of products and an ever-growing number of trends competing for attention. Finding something that actually feels like you can be surprisingly difficult.

Meet meCore, a new AI-powered platform designed to make the online shopping experience seamless and all about you.

Founded by Golnaz Abdollahian, meCore currently gives users access to more than 300,000 garments and fashion products, curated according to their individual style, preferences and budget. But what sets the platform apart is its approach to personalization: Rather than quietly analyzing browsing behavior and deciding what a shopper might like, meCore puts users in control of defining their own aesthetic.

meCore isn't simply asking, "What did you buy before?"

Instead, it wants to know: What inspires your look?

Step 1: Your Style, Your Core

At the center of the platform are customizable style profiles called Cores. Getting started is simple: after downloading the complimentary meCore app, users create a profile and begin building their first Core — a customizable style profile designed to reflect their personal aesthetic, wardrobe and evolving sense of self.

Your Core can reflect your everyday wardrobe, a particular aesthetic you're currently obsessed with or even a completely different version of yourself you're ready to explore. Maybe you're drawn to polished city dressing. Maybe you're looking for a bohemian, Talitha Getty-inspired wardrobe. Perhaps you're channeling the sophisticated summer style of Amanda from The Talented Mr. Ripley, the effortless cool of Dickie Greenleaf or the bold silhouettes and aesthetics of decades past.

The platform is designed to meet you wherever your fashion imagination takes you.

And because personal style isn't fixed, neither is your Core. As your tastes, moods and interests evolve, your profile evolves with you.

Step 2: Turning Inspiration Into a Wardrobe

One of the most interesting parts of the experience is that users don't necessarily need to know what they're looking for.

They can start with an image.

Imagine you're walking through Neiman Marcus and spot a dress you absolutely love — but the price tag is nowhere near your budget. Instead of walking away, you could photograph the dress and use it as inspiration on meCore, allowing the platform to help identify pieces that capture a similar aesthetic at a price point that works for you.

Instead of trying to figure out the perfect search terms, users can upload or begin with an image that captures a feeling or aesthetic they want to explore. That could be a celebrity outfit, a painting seen in a museum, a tapestry purchased while traveling or even the atmosphere of a favorite café.

The platform's AI interprets those visual cues and translates them into fashion recommendations that align with the user's Core.

From there, shoppers can use the platform's Vibes feature to emphasize characteristics they like or mute elements they don't. Filters can also be used to refine practical considerations such as price range, preferred brands, and other preferences.

Step 3: Your Personal Stylist Gets to Know You

meCore is designed not only to help consumers find what they already know they want, but also to introduce them to brands they may not have discovered otherwise.

The platform features established labels alongside emerging and independent designers. Rather than relying primarily on brand recognition or advertising spend, products can surface because they match the aesthetic a user is exploring.

That creates an opportunity for shoppers to discover more niche labels while giving smaller brands another way to reach consumers.

For Abdollahian, that philosophy is central to the company's mission.

"AI should help us express what makes us different, not average us into what is most likely," said Abdollahian, founder and CEO of meCore.

Step 4: Discover, Save and Shop

After creating your account, setting up your Core and adding your inspiration, meCore is ready to help you discover what fits your style. From there, shoppers can continue exploring pieces that align with their Core, search for a specific item or discover brands they may never have encountered otherwise.

Once they find something they love, they can save it for later or purchase it directly through meCore.

The result is a shopping experience that feels less like typing keywords into a search bar and more like having a personal stylist who gradually gets to know you — while helping you save time, energy and money along the way.

The Female Founder Putting Personal Style at the Center of It All

Abdollahian brings more than a decade of experience building consumer technologies to the shopping and fashion space. Based in San Francisco, she holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University and spent seven years at Apple, where she worked on emerging technologies and helped develop features later launched across Apple products.

She has also held leadership roles at Microsoft and Dolby.

meCore was incorporated in March 2025 and soft-launched on the App Store and Google Play the following year. The company says its catalog continues to expand, with new products and brands added regularly.

For Abdollahian, the technology is ultimately about something more personal than shopping efficiency.

"Style is deeply personal," she said. "It affects how we show up in the world and how we express ourselves. It is shaped by our experiences, our memories, our culture, and our moods."

That belief is reflected in meCore's guiding philosophy: refuse to be beige.

    Fashion Shopping, Reimagined

The concept behind meCore ultimately comes down to a simple idea: personalization should feel personal.

Once shoppers find pieces they want, they can save or purchase them directly from the retailer without leaving the meCore app, with products delivered straight to their door.

The meCore app is currently free to download, allowing users to create up to four Cores. Users can also upgrade to meCore Pro for $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year for expanded access.

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly involved in everything from search to shopping recommendations, meCore is betting that the future of personalization isn't about predicting what everyone will want next. Instead, it is about giving people the tools to tell technology exactly who they are — and letting their style evolve from there.

For anyone who has ever known the look they wanted but couldn't quite put it into words, meCore offers another way to start: show AI what inspires you, and let it help you find the fashion that fits.
